Christmas Festivities at AGBU High School - Pasadena

On December 21, 2009, AGBU High School, faculty, staff, administration, students and parents, welcomed the holiday season with a Church service and holiday spirited festivities.

The AGBU High School – Pasadena students were greeted by Vice Principal, Dr. Kargodorian, as they entered the sanctuary. She provided the students with a message about Christmas and wished the students a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.

Next, Father Sarkis provided a sermon and spoke to the students about the meaning of Christmas, giving, attending Church on a regular basis and spoke to them about being a good person and student. Assisted by two students, Raffi Boghossian and Armand Yerjanian, Father Avedis provided the students with Holy Communion.

Followed by the Communion, the students were treated to a delicious breakfast in the Boyajian Hall organized by the Parent Support Group. Alumni of the school also attended the festivities. The students enjoyed their breakfast while listening to Christmas music.

After breakfast, students participated in contests organized by the Student Council. All the classes worked together in the different games and showed true class solidarity.

At the end, the school administration passed out copies of 2008-2009 school yearbook. Students then had the opportunity to sign each other’s yearbook and relive the memories from last year.

The day was exciting and a wonderful start to the Christmas season! AGBU High School – Pasadena would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
